Some of my best friends are those spots on the wall ... the ones over there where the aliens abducted and tried (but failed) to anal probe my logic.
Poor govt poll results due to ‘tuned-out voters’
Federal Government frontbencher Andrew Robb says the Government is trailing in the polls because people are sick of politics.
The Coalition has failed to boost its popularity in opinion polls, despite the release of a big spending Budget and a softening of its workplace laws.
Mr Robb has told Channel Ten it is because voters have stopped listening.
“People are starting to tune-out a bit, to be honest I think they are looking for a politics-free week or month,” he said.
“We’ve had a campaign really since Labor changed leader, it’s been very intense and I think people are getting a little bit sick of it all.”
'scuse us for being just a bit picky, but surely Ole Andy, (once - if'n you can believe it! - the campaign director and Federal Director of the Liberal Party) isn't telling us that poor govt poll results are due to ‘tuned-out voters’.

WhyTF are ‘tuned-out voters’ responding to surveys?! Surely if they were truly ‘tuned-out voters’ looking for a politics-free week or month, they'd be telling the surveyors to bugger off. But apparently it's only the once were warriors Coalition voters who are doing that ... and who, despite their apathy and world-weariness, are willing to go on record to tell the Government to take a running jump.
Seems as if these ingrates are not only as not ‘tuned-out’ as Ole Andy would like, but are so ‘tuned-out’ as to have the temerity to offer the opinion that the Coalition is seriously on the Pinnochian nose and that jumping ship is a far better option than wandering aimlessly around Davy Jones' full fathom five locker.
To misquote Rick, the great Casablancan club owner, "Of all the non sequiturs in all the world Andy had to walk into this one."
Yep Andy, all those people lined up outside that brothel with fists full of fifties are there coz they're sick to death of sex.
Labels: I DO NOT believe it. (I lied. Of course I do.)
